Morning Walk

I came awake around 4:00 this morning and heard a steady rain.  My immediate thought: "Oh, good. My morning walk has been rained out."  Then as I tried to go back to sleep, I thought, "It's possible the rain will be over by the time I get up."  I snoozed a little then got up around 5:15.  It was way too dark -- I assume because of cloudy skies -- to think about walking so I read for a little while.  Drats -- an hour later it was not raining so I convinced myself that my walk was not going to be canceled due to rain.

I left the house, and it was sprinkling lightly.  I decided I would abbreviate my walk time because I did not want to be too far from home if the sprinkles turned into a real rainfall.  I headed towards the park with the intention of crossing the creek at the first bridge.  [First bridge indicated below by yellow circle.]  But the rain completely let up by the time I'd gone past the school.  So I continued all the way to the west side of the park.  I added in the loop through the neighborhood to the north to tack on some extra time.

Just like Mr. Rogers, it was a beautiful day in my neighborhood.

What Color Crayon Are You?

I took the color quiz, and it turns out that I am a yellow crayon.
Take the quiz.

  •  Your world is colored with happy, warm, fun colors.
  •  You have a thoughtful and wise way about you. Some people might even consider you a genius.
  •  Charming and eloquent, you are able to get people to do things your way.
  •  While you seem spontaneous and free-wheeling, you are calculating to the extreme.

I don't agree with all the bullet points, but I do like yellow.
