#14 - I'm counting this one, too, because the first computer I ever used was connected via phone lines to a mainframe hundreds of miles away. This was in 1978. Nobody had ever heard of the Internet at that time. There were so many times when the computer would get "stuck," and we had to call the main office in Dublin, Ohio, and ask "Is the system down?" If the answer was no, they would run diagnostics on our office computer and ask us to check the modem for various lights. Sometimes that corrected the problem. Sometimes you just had to wait and try later. Because of dialing the phone number to headquarters so frequently, I still know the number: 800-848-5800. Eventually the system moved to the Internet and it was no longer necessary to phone nearly as frequently.
#9 - This was kind of a stretch. I own a boombox. Still have it although I have not played it for years. I know the CD player portion of it no longer works. I would guess that the radio still plays. I do not know about the cassette tape player. As for listening to the music "outside" -- I took it to a Cousin Reunion and it was played outside while we played a game. So I'm counting that as "Listening to a boombox outside."
